I am a highly experienced and results-focused Project & Programme Manager and IT/Communications Specialist with over 30 years’ experience of voice & data systems and services, business process analysis and business re-engineering.
I have successfully delivered a broad range of high profile, multi-£million projects and programmes using a blend of formal project management (PRINCE2), financial tools and ‘hands-on’ skills. These have included the upgrade of one of the largest PBXs in the UK, playing a pivotal role in the successful tendering for £40m of major bids, delivering a 50 site WAN network for the Scottish Courts Service and conducting a telecoms security review for the Palace of Westminster following the London bombings.
I excel in building, leading and empowering multi-disciplinary teams, which have spanned up to 17 organisations and 150+ staff. I work collaboratively from Board level through to key stakeholders, front line staff and detailed technical specialists. I deliver projects and programmes on time and within budget; supporting business expansion, cost-savings or to streamline processes.
I offer proven solutions and a broad vision gained through extensive experience of working from consumer and supplier viewpoints and a very diverse range of previous organisations within the SME, FTSE 100, retail, IT, local and central Government, financial and manufacturing sectors, together with over 1,200 system installations and upgrades.
