This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to TelcoProfessionals and TelcoProfessionals.com, (collectively, "TelcoProfessionals," "we" or "us") social networking website known as TelcoProfessionals.com ("TelcoProfessionals"). It does NOT apply to other online or offline TelcoProfessionals websites, products or services.
This Policy explains what information we collect about you and what we do with it. We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, and we will notify you of any material changes to the Policy by posting the new Policy here and changing the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to check this page periodically for any changes. By using or navigating any of TelcoProfessionals, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by this Policy or any modified Policy as posted. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use or visit any portion of TelcoProfessionals.
What information do we collect?
We collect personal information submitted by users such as name, e-mail address and age in order to authenticate those users and to send administrative messages to them. TelcoProfessionals collects other personal information such as gender, school name, major and interests to facilitate communication between users. We generally collect this personal information when you sign up to create your profile on TelcoProfessionals. We may also collect information about you from time to time through our online surveys if you choose to participate.
We collect and keep track of content and messages that you have uploaded on TelcoProfessionals. We will also facilitate the storage of email addresses in our users' internal TelcoProfessionals address books.
We collect IP addresses and anonymous demographic information (such as your browser type) and may use this data to: tailor your experience on TelcoProfessionals; provide content in which we think you may be interested; display content according to your preferences; and analyze traffic to TelcoProfessionals.
What do we do with the information we collect?
We use personal information and other demographic or profile information you submit to us in order to provide you with a profile on TelcoProfessionals; to provide you with information about TelcoProfessionals, TelcoProfessionals, and some of our partners and third party companies in which we think you may be interested; and to contact you when necessary.
We use IP addresses and anonymous demographic information to tailor your experiences on TelcoProfessionals by showing content in which we think you will be interested and displaying content according to your preferences. In some cases, however, we will share information we collect (including personal information or anonymous demographic information) with third parties with whom we partner to co-promote and administer sweepstakes and contests on TelcoProfessionals.

We may also disclose your information in special cases if required to do so by law, court order or other governmental authority or when we believe in good faith that disclosing this information is otherwise necessary or advisable, including, for instance, to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interfering with the rights or property of TelcoProfessionals, another TelcoProfessionals user or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.
In the event of a change in ownership, or a merger with, acquisition by, or sale of assets to, another entity, we reserve the right to transfer all user information collected in connection with TelcoProfessionals, including email addresses, to a separate entity. TelcoProfessionals will notify you (via a posting on TelcoProfessionals or the Privacy Policy or via email (in our discretion)) of such a transfer, and you may choose to modify your registration information at that time. This means that if you are concerned about your personal data migrating to a new owner, you can deactivate your account.
Is the information posted on TelcoProfessionals confidential?
No. You post content and information on TelcoProfessionals AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please remember that any information you disclose on TelcoProfessionals is shared with other users and becomes public information, meaning that other users and visitors of TelcoProfessionals will have access to any personal data you include in your content and messages. While we've provided certain privacy settings on TelcoProfessionals to limit who can view the content you submit, no measure is infallible. Because you voluntarily disclose any personal data in the public areas of TelcoProfessionals, you should be careful about the information you choose to include. We do not control these disclosures, and are not liable in any way for anyone's use or misuse of any information that you disclose on TelcoProfessionals. Accordingly, you should exercise caution when deciding whether to disclose your personal information on TelcoProfessionals.
We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you may choose to share your pages and information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that information and content you post on TelcoProfessionals will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on TelcoProfessionals. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of your content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other users have copied or stored your content.
Do we use cookies?
Yes. Cookies are pieces of information generated by web servers and stored in your computer for future access. TelcoProfessionals uses cookie technology to enhance your online experience by making it easier for you to navigate through TelcoProfessionals or make a feature work better. Generally, cookies can be disabled. However, you must accept cookies in order to register for and navigate TelcoProfessionals.
Do we use web beacons?
Yes. TelcoProfessionals contains electronic images known as "web beacons" or single-pixel gifs that allow us to count visitors and deliver co-branded services. Web beacons collect limited information including cookie number, time and date of a page view and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides.
Is TelcoProfessionals secure?
We are committed to maintaining the security of your information and have reasonable measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information you provide, which is under our control. All information is stored in a secure location behind a firewall with limited administrative access.
In addition, your member account is secured by a password created by you. Do not share your password with anyone. It is your responsibility to keep your password confidential, and TelcoProfessionals cannot be held liable for any loss or misuse of your password.
Does this Policy apply to other linked sites?
No. TelcoProfessionals contains links to other Internet sites, resources and sources of TelcoProfessionals. By clicking on any ad banner or other link, you will be redirected off TelcoProfessionals and to third party websites. TelcoProfessionals is not responsible for the privacy policies of such sites. You should make sure that you read and understand the privacy policies of these sites and direct any concerns regarding external links to the site administrator or webmaster of that third party website.
How do I unsubscribe from emails?
All e-mails you receive from us will include specific instructions on how to unsubscribe, and you may unsubscribe at any time. Additionally, we give you the following options for removing your information from our database:
(1) send an email to support@telcoprof.com;
(2) change your email preferences within your profile settings.
Can I update/correct my information?
Yes. You may correct or update your personal information by editing your profile information on TelcoProfessionals or by sending us an email at support@telcoprof.com. Even if you update or remove your information from our live database, however, your personal data may be retained in our backup files and archives.
You may separately update your personal information and preferences in connection with information collected by Ning, which provides the operating environment for TelcoProfessionals.
