Mobile network operators (MNOs) in emerging Asia–Pacific (EMAP) are underachievers in migrating customers to postpaid offers when compared to their peers in other emerging markets. This means they are missing out on benefits such as the chance to boost revenue and improve data yields and churn rates.
EMAP MNOs can do more to encourage users to migrate to postpaid plans. This can be achieved by: better use of information to ascertain customers’ credit-worthiness; encouraging better differentiation from prepaid plans; and realistic pricing for postpaid offers.
