Fixed-line operators require support to manage the transition to a converged environment. It is a well known fact that for operators to succeed, and indeed survive, in the current operational
environment, it is necessary to improve current provisions and supply new offerings to retain and expand their market share. The status of leading fixed-line operators in each country across the world is changing, incumbent operators no longer have unabated market dominance. On the other hand while regulatory regimes have called for the restructuring of operators, operators themselves have turned to amalgamation and consolidation. This has led regulators to revoke operations, unbundling the network to split companies into wholesale and retail to ensure a level-playing field.
The programme will provide delegates with an opportunity to share practices, identify gaps in knowledge and learn from experts who have hands-on experience of this transition such as BT.
