I have worked in the Teleommunications business all of my working life in numerous locations and diverse cultures worldwide.
I have had numerous years of experience at senior management level, in management, operations, engineering, projects and customer service and have a very good sound overall business background.
A few attributes that I feel I could contribute to any business:-
* Developed and built up operational organisations within the business to gain maximum leverage and control costs from the resources available to provide the required returns on investment including full Profit & loss responsibility.
* Experience in the business development, operations, (including customer care), project management, sales management, financial management and general management to leverage competitive advantage.
* Experience of producing business cases/proposals for investment justification, and business expansion in a wide range of environments including major outsourcing projects.
* Driven Financial and Accounting operations to maximise returns and to streamline operations and reduce costs.
* Extensive Programme/Project Management experience in very large technology infrastructure roll-outs worldwide, including resource and financial utilisation.
* Negotiation experience with Vendors for quotations, tenders, procurement and project management.
* Diplomatic disposition for dealing with influential senior people both in the Private and Public (up to Board and Ministerial levels) sectors.
In the General Management field I have had organisations of greater that 100 people for whom I have had direct and indirect responsibility. This has covered Staff, (recruitment, pay and conditions, labour negotiations, training and all the general HR functions). Financial reporting, budgeting for both capital (>US$200m) and operational (US$40m p.a.) expenditure.
