Michael Foley is an experienced hands-on executive, consultant and speaker on Telecom issues. His experience in Telecom centers on developing economies or markets in transition particularly in Africa. Starting with his first job at Procter & Gamble his entire career has been focused on Commercial and Marketing functions including the running of marketing services companies in Canada. Previously he served as CEO of Yu Mobile in Kenya. As Chief Commercial Officer of Celtel Nigeria he had overall responsibility for Sales, Retail, Marketing, Service Development, Data Services, Customer Care and seven operation regions of the company. ( a business of over 10 Million subscribers)
He was Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer of MobilTel AD (M-Tel Bulgaria) from March 2004 to July 2005 when the company was sold to Telekom Austria. Michael had overall responsibility for Sales, Retail, Marketing, Service Development, Data Services and Customer Care at M-Tel the leading operator in Bulgaria (over 3,300,000 subscribers). Mr. Foley has served as Group CCO for Emirates International Telecommunications (Dubai, Malta, Tunisia) Additionally Michael was worked for Procter & Gamble Inc., New Brunswick Telephone, Bell Canada, was President of @Home Networks (Canada) and served on the Board of Excite Canada.
