Ultimately filling consumers needs (and wants). Applications and services that focus on real time life issues. As you said, LBS seems poised to take off. For example, locating hotels, restaurants, or stores wherever you may be, and using the handset to navigate to the destination. Or real-time information on commuter delays and other problems on airlines, rails, or highways. I also like the mobile marketing with real-time access to specials in favorite stores. I tend to distiguish more towards needs than wants. Receiving messages with specials in local grocery stores meets a cost savings need(?). Take it a step further and the local grocery (through in-store loyalty programs) could send messages specific to my buying patterns. Smarter VAS should be interwoven with every day living.
