I have enjoyed a highly successful career in IT Sales, bringing on new, large and high profile customers and developing long-term, trusting relationships at a senior level within major National Government Departments, System Integrators, Social Housing Providers, Local Authorities and NHS Trusts. My most recent positions have been mainly focused around bringing on new business, using my senior positions to access senior decision makers within new prospects. Whilst my role at Mitel carried the title of Account Director, much of it involved utilising my new business skills to uncover opportunities due to the size of the prospect organisations I was involved with. I am equally at home in a new business sales role, an account management role, an operations role or a blend of the three and have consistently over-achieved sales targets throughout my selling career.
TheWord has been trading as a B2B mobile re-seller since 1985, but in early 2010 decided to expand and begin offering Unified Communications Solutions and all aspects of business telephony including Fixed Line Services and the supply and support of Voice over IP Telephone Systems. I was recruited by theWord in March 2010 to establish a Systems Division and to date have achieved the following:-.
r>• Accepted as a Mitel re-seller even though Mitel are not actively recruiting channel partners
• Recruited a team of experienced Mitel engineers to support our growing Systems customer base
• Created all necessary processes and procedures to enable the business to deal with the more complicated solution sales generated when implementing and supporting VoIP systems (as opposed to selling mobile handsets and contracts)r>• Setup the technical side of the department and managed the cross-training of the existing technical team and the sales admin team
• Trained entire sales force on how to sell basic Systems and introduced an easy configuration and pricing toolr>• Personally brought on around 50 customers (including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Schools, Haulage Companies, Manufacturing Companies, Pharmaceutical Companies etc..).
• Personally brought in over £470k revenue and £175k GP YTD from a standing startr>• Consistently over-achieved Mitel Sales Targets and promoted to Mitel Select Partner by May 2011<br>
