“To know the implementation technique is crucial for a better and more user-friendly design.” This has been my philosophy ever since I started delving into the medium “mobile phone”.
More and more often, I find myself explaining the chances and capabilities modern mobile technology offers, which approach and technique is necessary and that a mobile phone is a medium with laws of its very own.
As this ist not only of interest to my friends, but as well for people wishing to employ the mobile for their marketing mix. Below, you can find a short outline of my works. More detailed information and a few examples of my projects can be found on my website.
For several years I have been working on WAP-portals, mobile oriented microsites, and contests. From the limitations and misinterpretations of older generations up to current developments, I offer a large wealth of experience and ideas in the different capabilities of mobile browsers.
I merge concept and design of mobile internet portals and microsites, applications for mobile phones, marketing and consulting – from new product development and media oriented transformation of graphic elements from your corporate design to the optimization of existing mobile applications.
With your own mobile programmes (client / application) you can produce games but also generate additional value by bringing phone applications into a new context with additional data.
Apple leads the way, everyone else is imitating them and I offer the according design: by now it is possible to produce entire portals as widgets and thus open up a new target groups ( cue: “mobile nomads” ).
For example, use themes to have your brand or pictures transferred onto a mobile phone.
Your own wallpapers and screen savers signal individuality or affiliation with a group, they are together with ring tones and mobile accessories another way for teenagers to identify themselves with or by their mobile phone – spending up to several Euros on them, depending on the subject or celebrity.
However, matching adaptations are complex. The production of graphics for mobile phones are in various ways more demanding than those for the internet: the formats are small, file sizes are even smaller and some applications require the compilation of data formats that are not supported by standard programs. Additionally everything needs to be well legible and look good.
