CCS’ Metnet self-organising microwave backhaul to support small cell network

Cambridge, UK, 15th September 2016 – M1 Limited (M1) has selected CCS’ Metnet backhaul system to meet the high mobile data demand at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.   Metnet – the world's only self-organising microwave backhaul system – is being implemented to support a small cell network aimed at serving the peak demand around the popular Formula 1 night race, which is being held from 16th – 18th September at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.

The full system is now live following extensive testing in the M1 labs with its core network and the small cells.    CCS’ Metnet is the world’s only self-organising (SON) solution for wireless backhaul, supporting small cell, WiFi, CCTV, smart city and enterprise access applications.  The CCS Metnet system is particularly suited to dense urban cities, where additional capacity is required and regional authorities are sensitive to aesthetics and equipment footprint.
