Stockport based telecommunications provider Eison Ltd has been chosen by TVS Supply Chain Solutions, a global supply chain management and logistics specialist, to deliver their new Intelligent Wide Area Network (IWAN) and agile Business Continuity.

TVS SCS deliver planning, procurement, storage and distribution of equipment and supplies across a range of industries and has recently been chosen to play a central role in the transformation of the UK military’s commodity logistics and procurement capabilities, as part of a new £6.5 billion outsourcing contract.

The new network and datacentre design will see Eison replace the existing TVS SCS traditional network with a next generation Intelligent WAN to their 20 locations and an Agile IP enabled DR solution. This will provide Non-Disruptive Operations across their network and datacentre estate; ensuring critical applications are constantly available.

Nisar Raja, Technology Manager at TVS SCS, said this about choosing Eison: “From the initial engagement with Eison, it was obvious they were offering more than a traditional ‘speeds and feeds’ design. Adding intelligence into the network and infrastructure will allow us to have greater visibility and understanding of how applications are performing whilst delivering a simplified DR approach.

This allows the IT team to consistently deliver our business the services they require and in turn provide accurate, time-bound supply and logistics requirements to our customers”

Russell Crowley, Sales Director at Eison, says: “This is a significant customer win for Eison. Overlay networks such as Intelligent WAN and Agile IP are a huge leap forward in our industry and TVS SCS are one of a growing number of customers to take advantage of these new technologies. We are seeing substantial demand for these types of solutions as our customers begin to understand the enormous benefits they can deliver.”
