Mobile messaging provider handles the A2P SMS volume of the new virtual mobile network operator

Geb./Vienna/Austria – DIMOCO http://www.dimoco.eu and Tele2 Austria are partnering in the text messaging area: The international mobile messaging provider is now processing the entire A2P (Application-to-Person) SMS volume of the new virtual mobile network operator (MVNO).

DIMOCO handles A2P SMS messages for Tele2 Austria
The full service telecommunications provider, Tele2, has opted for the international mobile messaging provider to handle the A2P SMS volume. Therefore, DIMOCO is responsible for supporting companies which want to make use of the SMS channel within their customer communication processes. Bi-directional text messaging traffic (incl. an SMS answer) can also be ensured via the DIMOCO messaging hub. As a partner for business SMS applications of Tele2 Austria, DIMOCO is also responsible for the implementation of 0800 service numbers.
According to Portio Research, a quarter of all text messages worldwide will be sent from or to an application server until end of 2018. So the A2P SMS volume will increase in the next years and will also be used for different purposes. “Information updates, payment confirmations, password resets – just to mention a few”, says Tauchner. Reach, quality, sending time, support and a professional service are key reasons why companies opt for the SMS channel.
Tele2 Austria becomes an MVNO
On the 27th of October, the full service telecommunications provider, Tele2 Austria, expanded its business product portfolio with a module-based mobile network offer including country-wide coverage. With this development, the Swedish Tele group’s company has completed its product portfolio and offers mobile, broadband, data services, landlines and television. Tele2 cell phone customers can be reached via the area code 0690.
