Cambridge, UK, 17th June 2015 – ip.access has been recognised for delivering valuable customer insight through its latest product innovation – the presenceCell™ bringing brands closer to the consumers they are trying to reach.
The small cell and presenceCell™ end-to-end solution provider has been nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Collecting and Use of Data in this year’s Mobile Innovation Awards after presenceCell™ was successfully deployed in Vodafone Turkey’s retail stores in February, earlier this year. The Mobile Innovation Awards will be announced at a ceremony at The Roundhouse Theatre, in Chalk Farm, London, on 6th October, 2015.
The cells connect with customers’ mobile phones allowing the secure collection of valuable data about each customer. This data, which is anonymised at source within the presenceCell™ is used to create insight into consumer shopping patterns, revealing how many people visit stores or shopping malls and how often.
Gavin Ray, SVP Products & Marketing at ip.access, said: “Retailers are always looking for innovations and better ways to understand their customers to better meet their needs.
“The Mobile Innovation Award nomination is testimony to the hard work carried out by our development teams, and proves that international retailers are opting to use carrier based solutions with seamless integration instead of the iBeacon and Wi-Fi alternatives.”
ip.access also announced earlier this month the signing of a multi-million dollar small cell contract with Batelco, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leading integrated communications operator, as well as winning the Small Cell Forum’s Social Impact Award alongside leading telecom software developer, SiRRAN, at the Small Cell Industry Awards 2015.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, ip.access has been creating and deploying small cell solutions for more than ten years. The company has products and solutions live in over 100 customers’ networks around the world, with the capability to accelerate the introduction of additional small cell solutions into those networks irrespective of use case, technology or deployment model.
The company's success is built upon its ability to provide its Service Provider customers with a range of small cell coverage, capacity and presence solutions across all technologies (2G, 3G, and 4G), with a focus on a rapid return on investment and the ability to open up new markets and revenue streams.
The company has an end-to-end deployment philosophy that integrates the small cell access points with converged access gateways and comprehensive network management and performance tools; as well as a strong track record of working with trusted partners on integrated solutions.
