Virgin Media posted its first annual profit in 2011, since its foundation in 2006. While it noted customer additions were key to its success, it also made a fleeting - yet important - reference to cutting churn.
Rival TalkTalk enjoyed similar success in terms of reducing disconnects, though those figures relate to calendar 4Q rather than the full year like Virgin's.
It either means these firms are finally getting on top of churn, or that the market lacks competition?
