There's an irony in plans by a UK property developer to tear down a former site of media tycoon Robert Maxwell to build a new data center. Kind of maintains the 'media' link, but in a more positive way.
The company is PMB Holdings and the 2.75 hectare site will be its first data center. As a property developer, it's plan is to sell space in the site once it's up and running in 2013. Firm claims 0.6m/s latency between the site and the City of London, utilizing multiple local fiber links.
