Huawei Marine has capped a busy week with a deal to lay a new cable linking Perth in Western Australia to Singapore via Indonesia.
The four fiber pair cable, ordered by ASSC-1 Communications Group, will span 4,600km and offer 40G capabilities initially. The firm plans to upgrade it in future.
Huawei is also surveying a new link between East Australia and New Zealand's north and south islands, and also this week won the contract to deploy the first subsea cable linking the UK to North America in a decade.
Not a bad start to the year, eh?
