Looking ahead to 2012 it seems like the next big things will be the full roll out of super fast fibre broadband to homes as standard and 4G mobile broadband and I was curious to know what people felt they would prefer to happen first?
I am an avid mobile technology lover and user and live by my iPhone and iPad but i have to say that I haven't gone crazy at the idea of 4G mobile broadband - yet. I also haven't tried it but i am quite happy to stream TV etc on my iPad via WiFi and never found that to be a hinderance.
I am lucky enough to have fibre broadband at home - this is something that i love and don't know how i lived with out. blistering interenet at 100mbps at home with real download speeds of 9.5mbps; yup it took me about 5 seconds to download the new version of itunes. This fibre also powers my tv and the HD picture is not quite as good as satelite but most people wouldn't notice where as on the standard triple play via adsl i find the HD tv is far from the quality of satelite.
so I personally would like to see fibre become the standard and get up to the the 1gbps offerings they have in Korea and Japan well before worrying about what 4G enabled mobile phone to get.
