I thought picture messaging (MMS) was largely dead and buried. It never really captured the public's imagination in the same way as SMS, and now a raft of mobile social media applications means users can upload pictures straight to the web.
Only they don't, according to some reports which point out those uploads use MMS.
It got me wondering if MMS usage is on the up, and if operators see any revenue from that (or does the app use MMS but somehow bypass the carrier?).
