There were some interesting views on m-money in the keynote on the subject during Mobile World Congress. Telenor is already handling a stack of cash in Pakistan, while Visa believes it will revolutionize life for people in African countries.
In midst of all that, it was interesting to hear from Isis, a US operator joint venture, regarding the opportunities for developed regions - even something as simple as mobile coupons offering money off your weekly shop.
I get the sense this is really starting to happen now, and in developed markets as well as emerging. Visa even predicts that children aged five and under today, may never have a physical wallet when they grow up.
