About the event The LTE Forum 2011 will help operators to identify the evolutionary steps to 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution), understand the drivers for migrating, and to determine what they need to be doing now to ensure their network remains competitive. Presentations from mobile operators and other industry experts will help delegates to understand why, when and how to migrate to 4G LTE. Why Stockholm The first LTE deployments have already gone live in the Nordic countries. TeliaSonera and Telenor have already set alive their 4G networks in Stockholm and Oslo with further cities/areas and operators f.i. Tele2 or Elisa to follow. The LTE Forum 2010 in Stockholm has been covering these projects and has been a huge success. The LTE Forum 2011 will be the conference to discuss what happened since the LTE Forum 2010. It shall get investigated, what has developed in a successful way, which problems potentially have been remaining and which lessons got learned at all. So again in 2011 there is no better place to go than Stockholm, in case your business is associated with 3G/4G network technology. Some reasons why Delegates will join the LTE Forum 2011 - Understand the status of LTE standardisation and timescales for mass market - Develope mobile broadband services that exploit high data rates of HSPA - Evaluate the growth in mobile computing and the opportunities for LTE - Define the business case for lTE and evaluate its importance for operators - Determine the migration strategies to LTE (LTE1800, HSPA/HSPA+, Digital Dividend Spectrum) Pre-Conference Workshop “LTE Essentials” , April 12th John McKeague, our specialist in LTE Technologies has been delivering LTE and WiMAX courses across Europe and you will have a unique opportunity to join our LTE Forum 2011 Pre-Conference-Workshop “LTE Essentials” on April 12^th . This one day course provides an overview of LTE from both application and technical aspects. It gives an overview of the network architecture, the underlying technologies of OFDM and multiple antenna techniques, and the call setup procedure. In addition, the deployment and interworking issues are explored. It also describes the competitive landscape by comparing features and services of other 4G systems such as WiMAX. In summary, this course provides a comprehensive high level view of LTE. For more information please visit: www.lteforum2011.com
