I've got to admit I'm loving stories on the wires this morning regarding Apple's Siri voice control giving a big up to Nokia's Lumia 900.
Apparently the US firm has had to amend its software after Siri named the Nokia Windows Phone the best smartphone ever when asked by users. The quirk is due to the underlying search engine Apple employs, which scoured device reviews to come up with its answer.
There is a serious point made by a Nokia staffer to the Sydney Morning Herald, namely that Apple can't claim Siri is a ubiquitous intelligence tool if it simply points the system to the answers it wants. But for the rest of us, this is a wonderful story that highlights technology isn't always the be-all and end-all.
